PM-26-025: California Prune Counties – 2026 Crop Year Prune Reference Date and Average Dry Count per Pound

BACKGROUND:

This bulletin establishes the 2026 crop year Prune Reference Date. In addition, it provides Approved Insurance Providers with the average dry prune count per pound for calculating second-period immature prune appraisals.

Each year the Davis Regional Office (DRO) establishes the Prune Reference Date. This date occurs one to two weeks after prune pit tip hardening when 80 to 90 percent of the seed shows the presence of endosperm, a clear jelly-like substance at the bloom end of the seed.

PM-26-024: Livestock Risk Protection, Livestock Gross Margin, and Dairy Revenue Protection - Modifications Effective for 2027 and Succeeding Crop Years

BACKGROUND:

The Federal Crop Insurance Corporation (FCIC) Board of Directors (Board) approved revisions to the Livestock Risk Protection (LRP), Livestock Gross Margin (LGM), Dairy Revenue Protection (DRP) plans of insurance under section 508(h) of the Federal Crop Insurance Act. The following revisions are applicable for the 2027 and succeeding crop years:
