On May 8, 2026, the Risk Management Agency (RMA) issued MGR-26-006, Emergency Procedures for Crops Damaged by Freeze in April 2026. The Manager’s Bulletin authorized emergency procedures for damage from a freeze event to perennial crops in Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia.
Based on information received since the issuance of MGR-26-006, perennial crops in New Hampshire and Vermont were also damaged by the freeze event in late April 2026.
Subject: A joint request dated February 24, 2026, submitted to the Risk Management Agency (RMA) for a final agency determination for the 2023 crop year of section 6(g)(2) of the Rainfall Index Common Policy, Basic Provisions. This request is pursuant to 7 C.F.R. part 400, Subpart X.
