In accordance with section 3(e)(1) of the Basic Provisions, the Risk Management Agency is providing an additional price (a new Maximum Over Established Price) for contracted flue-cured tobacco covered by the Tobacco Policy.
For the Common Crop Insurance Policy and Area Risk Protection Insurance, the Risk Management Agency (RMA) approved 2024 CY projected prices and price volatility factors for insurance offers with a projected price discovery period of January 1, 2024, through January 31, 2024. These values may be viewed in the attachment and on RMA’s Price Discovery portal, located here: public-rma.fpac.usda.gov/apps/PriceDiscovery.

The CEPP – Peanuts factors necessary to establish a producer’s amount of protection under the peanut program for the 2024 CY are identified below. The factors are applied to the commodity prices for wheat, cotton, soybean oil, and soybean meal during the discovery period of February 1, 2024, to February 28, 2024. These factors apply only to states with a SCD of March 15, 2024.
The Risk Management Agency (RMA) periodically receives inquiries from producers who are interested in WFRP and Micro Farm but are unable to find an agent willing to sell and service these policies. In 2022 and 2023, RMA conducted extensive outreach to directly educate producers, agents, and Approved Insurance Providers (AIPs) about WFRP and Micro Farm. Over 2,000 people attended these events with feedback resulting in meaningful policy updates and an increase in Micro Farm sales.
The Federal Crop Insurance Corporation (FCIC) Board of Directors approved expansion of the Nursery Value Select (NVS) crop insurance program beginning with the 2025 crop year. In addition, the Crop Provisions are being updated to include small clarifications for consistency with the Basic Provisions.
