PM-24-054: Actual Revenue History Pilot Cherry Insurance Program Changes Effective for the 2025 and Succeeding Crop Years

BACKGROUND:

In response to requests for clarification from the industry, the Risk Management Agency (RMA) revised the provisions regarding the annual price for diverted production in the Actual Revenue History (ARH) Tart Cherry for Processing Pilot Crop Provisions.

Actuarial Release 24-034

As of August 29, 2024 the following information is now available on the FTP site:

BACKGROUND:

In accordance with Section 8 of the Rainfall and Vegetation Index Plan Common Policy Basic Provisions, final grid indices and payment calculation factors have been determined and approved for the following:

PM-24-039.1: Expanding Options for Specialty and Organic Growers Final Rule Effective for the 2025 and Succeeding Crop Years

The Risk Management Agency (RMA) issued Product Management Bulletin PM-24-039 on June 27, 2024, announcing changes to several policies under the Expanding Options for Specialty and Organic Growers (EOSOG) Final Rule. The Common Crop Insurance Provisions Basic Provisions, Area Risk Protection Insurance Basic Provisions, and 7 individual Crop Provisions were released at that time. The remaining regulatory Crop Provisions included in the EOSOG Final Rule and conforming changes in non-regulatory Crop Provisions are planned for public release by their respective contract change dates (CCD).

Actuarial Release 24-033

As of August 27, 2024 the following information is now available on the FTP site:

  • 2025 Actuarial Data Master for the 8/31, 10/31 Filing Date, YTD, and Daily Files.
  • 2025 Special Provisions for the 8/31, 10/31 Filing Date.

For the Common Crop Insurance Policy, the Risk Management Agency (RMA) approved 2025 CY projected prices and price volatility factors for insurance offers with a projected price discovery period of July 15, 2024, through August 14, 2024. These values may be viewed in the attachment and on RMA’s Price Discovery portal, located here: public-rma.fpac.usda.gov/apps/PriceDiscovery.
