MGR–24-003.2: Amended - Notice to Cease and Desist Agent/Agency Contract Terminations

Background

On March 15, 2024, the Risk Management Agency (RMA) issued MGR-24-003, Notice to Cease and Desist Agent/Agency Contract Terminations, requiring that Approved Insurance Providers (AIPs) cease and desist any cancellation of agent contracts until RMA completed its review of the information requested in the bulletin. On June 3, 2024, RMA issued MGR-24-003.1, wherein it lifted the cease-and-desist requirement of MGR-24-003.

Subject: Two requests dated April 23, 2024, and May 3, 2024, submitted to the Risk Management Agency (RMA) for a final agency determination (FAD) for the 2021 crop year of section 12(d) of the Common Crop Insurance Policy, Basic Provisions, published at 7 C.F.R. §457.8. This request is pursuant to 7 C.F.R. §400, Subpart X.

PM-24-043: 2024 Crop Year Common Crop Insurance Policy and Area Risk Protection Insurance Harvest Prices Announcement

For the Common Crop Insurance Policy and Area Risk Protection Insurance, the Risk Management Agency (RMA) approved 2024 CY harvest prices for insurance offers with a harvest price discovery period of June 1, 2024, through June 30, 2024. These values may be viewed in the attachment and on RMA’s Price Discovery portal, located here: public-rma.fpac.usda.gov/apps/PriceDiscovery.

PM-24-042: Margin Protection Changes Effective for the 2025 and Succeeding Crop Years

Background

The Risk Management Agency (RMA) is revising the Margin Protection (MP) Provisions to clarify how first, and second crop rules apply to MP. Terminology in the Provisions are also being updated to be consistent with other area plans.
