PM-19-072: 2019 Crop Year (CY) Common Crop Insurance Policy and Area Risk Protection Insurance Harvest Prices Announcement

Common Crop Insurance Policy & Area Risk Protection Insurance 1,2

The 2019 CY harvest prices shown below are approved for the following plans of insurance: Revenue Protection, Area Revenue Protection, Revenue Protection with Harvest Price Exclusion and Area Revenue Protection – Harvest Price Exclusion. The harvest prices are applicable for the crops, practices, sales closing dates and states indicated in the following table.

PM-19-069: Commodity Exchange Price Provisions for the 2020 and Succeeding Crop Years

Background

The Commodity Exchange Price Provisions (CEPP) are used in conjunction with either the Common Crop Insurance Policy Basic Provisions or the Area Risk Protection Insurance Basic Provisions, along with Crop Provisions for the following crops: barley, canola/rapeseed, corn, cotton, grain sorghum, rice, soybeans, sunflowers and wheat.

The CEPP specifies how and when the projected and harvest price components will be determined. The CEPP contains two sections:

PM-19-070: Coarse Grains Crop Provisions and High-Risk Alternate Coverage Endorsement Handbook Changes Effective for the 2020 and Succeeding Crop Years

Background

The Federal Crop Insurance Corporation (FCIC) revised the Coarse Grains Crop Provisions to allow separate enterprise or optional units by following another crop (FAC) and not following another crop (NFAC) cropping practices for grain sorghum and soybeans when allowed by the actuarial documents, and to make other technical edits. FCIC also revised the High-Risk Alternate Coverage Endorsement (HR-ACE) Standards Handbook to incorporate the changes made in the Coarse Grains Crop Provisions. The changes will be effective for the 2020 and succeeding crop years.

Actuarial Release 19-041

As of November 27, 2019 the following information is now available on the FTP site:

  • 2020 Actuarial Data Master for the 6/30, 11/30, 12/31 Filing Date, YTD, and Daily Files.
  • 2020 Special Provisions for the 11/30 Filing Date.

PM-19-068: Hybrid Seed Rice Crop Provisions Changes Effective for the 2020 Crop Year

Background

The Federal Crop Insurance Corporation (FCIC) revised the Hybrid Seed Rice Crop Provisions to remove the definition of “adjusted yield” and clarify definitions for “amount of insurance per acre” and “county yield.”

The changes are applicable for the 2020 and succeeding crop years.
