The 2016 CY projected prices shown below are approved for the Yield Protection, Revenue Protection, and Revenue Protection with Harvest Price Exclusion plans of insurance. The 2016 CY volatility factors shown below are approved for the Revenue Protection and Revenue Protection with Harvest Price Exclusion plans of insurance. The projected prices and volatility factors are applicable for the crop, types, and states indicated in the following table.

PM-15-037: Insuring Carinata for the 2016 and Succeeding Crop Years

Background

Approved insurance providers (AIPs) and producers have raised questions regarding the insurability of Brassica carinata (hereafter referred to as “carinata”). Carinata is an inedible oilseed sharing characteristics of both mustard and canola intended for the biofuel market. A common name for the crop is “Ethiopian Mustard.” Processor contracts are being promoted in both fall and spring-seeded canola counties for the 2016 crop year.

The 2015 CY harvest prices shown below are approved for the following plans of insurance: Revenue Protection; Area Revenue Protection; Revenue Protection with Harvest Price Exclusion; and Area Revenue Protection - Harvest Price Exclusion. The 
harvest prices are applicable for the crops, sales closing dates, states and types indicated in the following table.

PM-15-029: Commodity Exchange Price Provisions for the 2016 and Succeeding Crop Years

Background

The Commodity Exchange Price Provisions (CEPP) are used in conjunction with either the Common Crop Insurance Policy Basic Provisions or the Area Risk Protection Insurance Basic Provisions, along with Crop Provisions for the following crops: barley, canola/rapeseed, corn, cotton, grain sorghum, rice, soybeans, sunflowers and wheat.

The CEPP specifies how and when the projected and harvest price components will be determined. The CEPP contains two sections:
