MGR-22-007: 2023 Crop Year County Perennial Crop Program Expansions

Background

The Federal Crop Insurance Corporation has expanded the number of counties where certain crops are insurable for the 2023 crop year having an August 31 thru October 31 contract change date. The following attachment, 2023 Expansion of Existing Perennial Crop Programs, lists the expansion by crop, state, and county for the permanent (non-pilot) program.

Action

Approved Insurance Providers should advise producers of the expanded county crop programs for the 2023 crop year.

PM-22-031: 2021 Crop Year Supplemental Coverage Option (SCO) Final Area Yields for Almonds, Blueberries, Peaches, Apples, Grapes, Prunes, Walnuts, Grapefruit, Tangelos, Oranges, Lemons, and Mandarins/Tangerines

In accordance with Section 10 of the SCO Endorsement, approved final county yields and payment factors for the 2021 crop year will be available by close of business today in the following formats:

PM-21-024: 2020 Crop Year Supplemental Coverage Option (SCO) Final Area Yields for Almonds, Blueberries, Peaches, Apples, Grapes, Prunes, Walnuts, Grapefruit, Tangelos, Oranges, Lemons, and Mandarins/Tangerines

In accordance with Section 10 of the SCO Endorsement, approved final county yields and payment factors for the 2020 crop year will be available by close of business today in the following formats:

PM-17-006: Whole-Farm Revenue Protection (WFRP) and Commodities with Multiple Commodity Codes

Background

Due to changes in WFRP commodity lists for the 2017 crop year, some commodities may now have multiple commodity codes available, a primary commodity code, and separate commodity codes related to specific types or practices of the commodity. For example, actuarial documents may list the primary commodity code and separate commodity codes for specific types or practices, such as Fresh Market and Processing, or Irrigated, Nonirrigated, Summerfallow, and Continuous cropping.

PM-17-025: 2016 Crop Year Supplemental Coverage Option (SCO) Final Area Yields for Almonds, Apples, Blueberries, Grapefruit, Grapes, Lemons, Mandarins/Tangerines, Oranges, Peaches, Prunes, Tangelos, Walnuts

In accordance with Section 10 of the SCO Endorsement, approved Final Area Yields for 2016 crop year will be available by close of business today in the following formats:

PM-20-051: Hurricane Insurance Protection – Wind Index (HIP-WI) End Of Insurance Extension Option

Background

The Federal Crop Insurance Corporation Board of Directors approved the HIP-WI Endorsement, on November 15, 2019, and approved the End of Insurance Extension Option on June 23, 2020. The option is available for the 2020 crop year for apples, blueberries, grapes, and peaches.
