PM-17-005: 2017 Crop Year (CY) Commodity Exchange Price Provisions (CEPP) – Peanut Factors – March 15, 2017 Sales Closing Date

Background

The CEPP peanut factors necessary to establish the insured’s amount of protection under the peanut program for the 2017 CY are identified below. The factors are applied to the commodity prices for wheat, cotton, soybean oil, and soybean meal during the discovery period of February 1, 2017 to February 28, 2017. These factors apply only to states with a Sales Closing Date (SCD) of March 15, 2017. They are determined in accordance with the Peanut Price Methodology guidelines published.

Background

The CEPP peanut factors necessary to establish the insured’s amount of protection under the peanut program for the 2017 CY are identified below. The factors are applied to the commodity prices for wheat, cotton, soybean oil, and soybean meal during the discovery period of January 15, 2017 to February 14, 2017. These factors apply only to states with a Sales Closing Date (SCD) of February 28, 2017. They are determined in accordance with the Peanut Price Methodology guidelines.

PM-17-027: Margin Protection Plan of Insurance - Modifications Effective for 2018 and Succeeding Crop Years

Background

The Federal Crop Insurance Corporation (FCIC) Board of Directors (Board), on February 15, 2017, approved the following modifications to the Margin Protection (MP) Plan of Insurance for corn, wheat, rice and soybeans pilot program beginning with the 2018 crop year:

Background

The Commodity Exchange Price Provisions (CEPP) are used in conjunction with either the Common Crop Insurance Policy Basic Provisions or the Area Risk Protection Insurance Basic Provisions, along with Crop Provisions for the following crops: barley, canola/rapeseed, corn, cotton, grain sorghum, rice, soybeans, sunflowers and wheat. The CEPP specifies how and when the projected and harvest price components will be determined. The CEPP contains two sections:

The 2020 CY harvest prices shown below are approved for the following plans of insurance: Revenue Protection, Area Revenue Protection, Revenue Protection with Harvest Price Exclusion and Area Revenue Protection – Harvest Price Exclusion. The harvest prices are applicable for the crops, types, practices, sales closing dates and states indicated in the following table.
