The 2022 CY harvest prices shown below are approved for the following plans of insurance: Revenue Protection, Area Revenue Protection, Revenue Protection with Harvest Price Exclusion, and Area Revenue Protection with the Harvest Price Exclusion. The harvest prices are applicable for the crops, sales closing dates, states, types, and practices indicated in the following table.

PM-22-040: Commodity Exchange Price Provisions for the 2023 and Succeeding Crop Years

Background

The Commodity Exchange Price Provisions (CEPP) are used in conjunction with either the Common Crop Insurance Policy Basic Provisions or the Area Risk Protection Insurance Basic Provisions, along with Crop Provisions for the following crops: barley, canola/rapeseed, corn, cotton, grain sorghum, rice, soybeans, sunflowers, and wheat.

The CEPP specifies how and when the projected and harvest price components will be determined. The CEPP contains two sections:

In accordance with Section 15 of the ARPI Crop Provisions, Section 10 of the ECO Endorsement, Section 14 of the MP Crop Provisions, and Section 10 of the SCO Endorsement, approved final county yields, final county revenues, harvest revenues, harvest margins and payment factors for the 2021 crop year will be available by close of business today in the following formats:

IS-22-002: Participation in the California Nest Cover Upland Habitat conservation project and Prevented Planting Coverage

Background

The USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) recently announced the Nest Cover Upland Habitat conservation project for the 2022 crop year. According to NRCS, the project provides financial and technical assistance to establish and manage cover for nesting habitat on rice lands in California.
