RMA is planning to research the feasibility and development of a Federal crop insurance program for hybrid canola seed production. An initial notice of intent for development of a hybrid canola seed program, PM-17-069, was issued on December 6, 2017.

Common Crop Insurance Policy & Area Risk Protection Insurance 1

The 2018 CY harvest prices shown below are approved for the following plans of insurance: Revenue Protection; Area Revenue Protection; Revenue Protection with Harvest Price Exclusion; and Area Revenue Protection with the Harvest Price Exclusion. The harvest prices are applicable for the crops, sales closing dates, states, practices and types indicated in the following table.

Background

The Risk Management Agency (RMA) continues to update its data processing systems. RMA uses the Regional Office Exceptions (ROE) system to store documents and other information on large claims in which RMA chooses to participate. Beginning on July 1, 2018, ROE will include potential large claims notice capability and will eliminate the need to use email or SharePoint for notification purposes.

Background

With the number of privately-developed products operating on a user fee basis increasing, it is in the best interests of the Risk Management Agency (RMA), Approved Insurance Providers (AIP), and 508(h) private product owners (PPOs) to establish an efficient process to aid the collection of user fees. The process described herein establishes the timing and transmission of RMA’s eligible crop insurance contract (ECIC) data to PPOs and AIPs.
