Final Agency Determination: FAD-230

Subject: Two requests dated February 3, 2015, and February 20, 2015, to the Risk Management Agency (RMA) requesting a Final Agency Determination for the 2012 crop year regarding the interpretation of section 20(a)(1) of the Common Crop Insurance Basic Provisions (Basic Provisions), published at 7 C.F.R. § 457.8. This request is pursuant to 7 C.F.R. § 400, subpart X.

Background:

The preamble of the Basic Provisions states, in relevant part:

Final Agency Determination: FAD-228

Subject: A request for a Final Agency Determination, dated February 13, 2015, to the Risk Management Agency (RMA) requesting a Final Agency Determination for the 2015 crop year of section 9(a)(1) of the Common Crop Insurance Basic Provisions (Basic Provisions), published at 7 C.F.R. 457.8. This request is pursuant to 7 C.F.R. §400, subpart X.

Background:

Section 9(a)(1) of the Basic Provisions states, in relevant part:

9. Insurable Acreage.

IS-15-006: 2015 Crop Year (CY) Added Land Requests

Background

The Risk Management Agency (RMA) continues to update its data processing systems under the Information Technology Modernization (ITM) project. RMA replaced the use of the Extranet Pilot SharePoint site with a Regional Office Exceptions (ROE) system for submitting crop year 2014 Requests for Actuarial Change forms. Beginning with the 2015 crop year, ROE is expanding to include RMA Regional Office (RO) Added Land requests. As a result, Added Land requests should be submitted as a type of Determined Yield into the ROE system.

  • 2014 Actuarial Data Master for the 6/30, 11/30 Filing Date, YTD, and Daily Files.

IS-15-005: 30 Day Extension of Perennial Crop Pre-Acceptance Inspection Report (PAIR) Deadlines for Peaches, Apples, Blueberries and Grapes in Michigan

The Springfield Regional Office (RO) recently received a number of requests from Approved Insurance Providers (AIP) to further extend the timeline for submitting Pre-Acceptance Inspection Reports (PAIRs). Due to continued inclement weather and high volume of policies requiring a PAIR, the extension requests are approved.
