PM-25-052: Florida Citrus Fruit Crop Provisions Changes Effective for the 2027 and Succeeding Crop Years

BACKGROUND

The Federal Crop Insurance Corporation Board of Directors approved changes to the Florida Citrus Fruit crop insurance program, under section 508(h) of the Federal Crop Insurance Act, on March 3, 2025.

The following changes are applicable for the 2027 and succeeding crop years:

Actuarial Release 23-032

As of August 31, 2023 the following information is now available on the FTP site:

  • 2024 Actuarial Data Master for the 8/31, 10/31 Filing Date, YTD, and Daily Files.
  • 2024 Special Provisions for the 8/31, 10/31 Filing Date.

Background

The Federal Crop Insurance Corporation (FCIC) Board of Directors approved changes to the Florida Citrus Fruit crop insurance program, under section 508(h) of the Federal Crop Insurance Act, on May 19, 2023.

The following changes are applicable for the 2025 and succeeding crop years:

Background

Hurricane Ian has caused catastrophic damage in Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia. The Risk Management Agency (RMA), in conjunction with Approved Insurance Providers (AIPs), recognizes the need for authorizing emergency procedures to streamline determinations on specific crops and accelerate the adjustment of losses and issuance of indemnity payments to crop insurance policyholders in impacted areas.
