2026 Appendix III - Standard Reinsurance Agreement and Livestock Price Reinsurance Agreement

BACKGROUND:

The 2026 Appendix III to the Standard Reinsurance Agreement and the Livestock Price Reinsurance Agreement (Appendix III) has been updated with approved modifications. Appendix III will be available tomorrow electronically via the Risk Management Agency (RMA) website at www.rma.usda.gov/Policy-and-Procedure/Appendix-III-M13-Handbook-Index under the Appendix III/M-13 directory.

ACTION:

Modifications in the 2026 Appendix III include the following crop insurance program changes:

  • Data Narrative has been updated with various editorial edits and revised the contact information for the IT Service Desk.
  • Livestock Changes:
    • P16_1/P24_1 Rounding rules updated.
    • P18/P18_1 Modified the declarable range allowed under the component pricing option.
    • P28/P28_1 updated the default value for other solids test, and removed the disaster flag.
  • Removed the reference to the Nursery FG&C references in various Appendix III documents.
  • Various Appendix III records have been updated to include the Margin Coverage Option.
