VALDOSTA, Ga., Jan. 22, 2015 ― USDA’s Risk Management Agency (RMA) reminds farmers of the January 31 sales closing date for crop insurance in Georgia. This sales closing date applies to crop insurance policies for fresh market tomatoes in Colquitt, Decatur, Grady, Mitchell and Seminole counties and pecans in eligible counties in the state. The sales closing date is the last day to buy a new policy or change an existing policy’s coverage level.
