The 2024 Appendix III to the Standard Reinsurance Agreement and the Livestock Price Reinsurance Agreement (Appendix III) has been updated with approved modifications. Appendix III will be available tomorrow electronically via the Risk Management Agency (RMA) website at www.rma.usda.gov/Policy-and-Procedure/Appendix-III-M13-Handbook-Index under the Appendix III/M-13 directory.

Modifications in the 2024 Appendix III include the following crop insurance program changes:

• Addition of P108 exhibit to provide a diagram of how the downhill deletes and partial submission works within the Policy Acceptance and Storage System
• Update of P20/P20A records to allow escrow on livestock programs
• Update of the P10 record to allow Approved Insurance Providers (AIPs) to switch the primary insured to the spouse 
• Appendix III narrative changes that include the following:
  • Additional clarification on when Payment Type codes “05” and “06” should be used when reporting payments under a livestock policy
  • Additional 586 requirements to have AIPs report when a user is no longer employed with the AIP and or
  • Additional language to allow escrow for livestock programs
