Small Grains Crop Provisions Changes Effective for the 2022 and Succeeding Crop Years
Background
The Federal Crop Insurance Corporation (FCIC) amended the Small Grains Crop Provisions for the 2022 and succeeding crop years. These provisions were revised to allow for additional unit divisions for wheat and to make discretionary changes to clarify provisions for counties with spring-planted acreage, fall-planted acreage, or both. A Final Rule with these changes published in the Federal Register on June 25, 2021. FCIC invites you to submit comments on this rule through the close of business on August 24, 2021, at regulations.gov.
Action

The Small Grains Crop Provisions (22-0011) will be available by close of business today on the RMA website at www.rma.usda.gov.

Approved insurance providers must notify policyholders of these changes at least 30 days prior to the cancellation date, as required by the policy.

Interested producers should contact a crop insurance agent for further information. A list of agents can be found on the RMA website at www.rma.usda.gov/en/Information-Tools/Agent-Locator-Page.
