Production and Revenue History (PRH) Changes Effective for the 2027 and Succeeding Crop Years

BACKGROUND:

On March 5, 2026, the Federal Crop Insurance Corporation Board of Directors approved modifications to the PRH Strawberry Crop Provisions and PRH General Provisions, beginning with the 2027 crop year, including:

  • Allowing optional units by non-contiguous land;
  • Standardizing the frequency of harvest price computations;
  • Clarifying how to apply the cost tolerance value when gross and actual revenues do not exist in the database; and
  • Allowing written agreements.

ACTION:

The following documents will be available by April 30, 2026, on the Risk Management Agency (RMA) website at www.rma.usda.gov:

  • PRH General Provisions (27-PRH)
  • PRH Strawberry Crop Provisions (27-PRH-0154)
  • PRH Insurance Standards Handbook (FCIC-24380)

Approved insurance providers must notify policyholders of these changes at least 30 days
prior to the cancellation date, as required by the policy.

Interested producers should contact a crop insurance agent for further information. A list of
