High Amylose, White, and Waxy Specialty Corn 508(h) Transferred to the Risk Management Agency
- Background

The High Amylose and the White and Waxy Specialty Corn Crop Insurance Programs implemented for the 2016 and 2019 crop years were developed under Section 508(h) of the Federal Crop Insurance Act by Sheer Simplexity, Inc. Effective September 27, 2019, maintenance of these products has been transferred to the Risk Management Agency (RMA).

RMA is notifying Approved Insurance Providers (AIP) that the High Amylose and White and Waxy Specialty Corn Crop Insurance Programs will be administered by RMA beginning September 28, 2019. Any program changes will be implemented no later than the November 30 contract change date.
RMA is notifying external stakeholders and will continue to work with these stakeholders on any program enhancements.
