LRP-LAMB SALES TO RESUME

Washington, Aug 7, 2009 – RMA Administrator William J. Murphy has announced availability of a new pricing procedure allowing resumption of the Livestock Risk Protection program for Lambs (LRP-Lamb) to resume under a new Specific Coverage Endorsement.

Sales of LRP-Lamb insurance, under the previous 2009 and 2010 Livestock Risk Protection (LRP) Lamb Specific Coverage Endorsement, were suspended recently due to unavailability of pricing information. Sales under the former endorsement are no longer available.

Sales of LRP-Lamb under the new endorsement will begin Monday, September 14.

Producers interested in purchasing the new endorsement for LRP-Lamb should contact a livestock insurance agent and complete an application.
