USDA LAUNCHES REDESIGNED RISK MANAGEMENT WEB SITE
WASHINGTON, Dec 23, 2005 – The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Risk Management Agency (RMA) today
launched a new design for the agency’s Web site, http://www.rma.usda.gov, aimed at streamlining access to crop and
livestock insurance information. The new look and feel of the Web site is modeled after the USDA Web site, which
debuted in late 2004.
"The redesigned RMA Web site is a tool that producers and the insurance industry alike can use to better
manage risk,” said RMA Administrator Eldon Gould. "The goal is to provide quick access to the data and other
information producers and business people need to serve America’s agricultural interests.”
A new feature of the Web site is a Google search engine allowing RMA customers to quickly locate the wide
variety of insurance bulletins, handbooks, data, and more on the Web site.
Other features of the site include new front door links to the agency’s bulletins, handbooks, reinsurance
agreements, summary of business reports, livestock information, actuarial documents, and state profiles.
